I brought this as I liked the sound of the top opener. Unfortunately, I`ve found the carrier to be of flimsy construction. The one time I`ve used it, I was terrified it would fall apart on me. I`m usually rather good at putting things together but the pieces do not fit together well, the side button fasteners keep popping out and the front door keeps trying to pop off. I had problems closing the top opener as the plastic would not meet easily and therefore would not recommend using the top opener if you have a uncoperative cat.

All in all, stay far away from this carrier.
