The low voltage light unit illuminates the biOrb and its inhabitants, making the aquarium into even more of a feature. Designed as an easy-to-fit accessory, the light unit doesn't impose on the biOrb's attractive shape and incorporates a hole for easy fish feeding.
Inappropriate or inadequate aquarium lighting may cause fish stress, reducing their activity, and may result in poor growth and health in fish and other aquatic life. The goal of aquarium lighting is to help replicate the conditions of a natural habitat and make is easier for you to enjoy your fish.
The standard biOrb Light Unit uses high quality Xenon gas filled bulbs for increased brightness and offer longer life. The light from a Xenon gas filled bulbs compared to standard Halogen bulb will be brighter for the same wattage and will last for a longer period of time between replacements.
A feeding hole is incorporated into the Halogen Light Unit allowing easy feeding without removal of the light.
The biOrb Light Unit produces a 6,500K colour output which simulates daylight, assisting with plant growth and helping to bring out the true colours of the fish.
