Excellent food which has sorted out the digestive problems of our Labrador. He suffered with excessive acid production and experienced a lot of pain due to the sensitivity of his stomach. He is now on the 3rd bag now and since the 2nd day his problems are sorted. He is a very large dog and I find 2 meals of 250 grams each is right for him. This is the only food that has helped my Sheltie, Bruce. For years he had suffered from a skin problem. His skin was hot, red, sore and his fur had all but fallen out, or been scratched out. He was a little hyper active. We had tried all sorts, special shampoos etc and steroids, which worked but would have shortened his life. My vet said it would be very difficult to find out what he was allergic to. He was already on a well known brand of hypoallergenic food, but I tried experimenting. Nothing worked until I tried this food. Within 4 days he had calmed down, his skin wasn`t red or hot and his fur started to grow back. He has been on this food now for quite a few months and he is the best he has ever been. He has put weight on, so I can feed him less, he is happy and contented. It works well and my vet is happy too. Well done to those who make it, you have saved our Bruce!!

My Basset x Shar Pei, Samson, started suffering with allergies as he approached 2 years old, we tried all different foods but he continued to itch, scratch and get tummy upsets. Early this year he suffered 2 bouts of pancreatitis both times he had to be hospitalised at the vets on a drip and medictaion. The second episode came only a couple of weeks after the first, we were beside ourselves with worry. The vet tried him on Royal Canin Sensitivity Blue Whiting & Tapioca, not only did he not react to it, he loved it too. He came home with a bag and had to be fed tiny meals every couple of hours and gradually increase the meal sizes and less often until he was on 4 meals and then 3 meals a day. Now 4 months later and he still loves this food and thankfully he is fit and healthy. He still has the occasional itching but nothing like it was but he reacts to certain grasses too so we always have to monitor him. This Blue Whiting & Tapioca is fantastic, I only wish we`d discovered it sooner. He has his evening meal with added steamed haddock and always looks forward to his meal times.

I have to agree with Deborah this product is amazing. We had a very sick lurcher in 2010 who was also hospitalised for a week and put on a drip, antibiotics and eventually because he was in so much pain ended up on morphine. This was all down to pancreatitis and was an absolutely terrible time. Our vet recommended we put him on this food and give him 3 small meals a day, he loved it and we have not look back. His motions are formed and firm unlike previously. We also buy the tins (up till now chicken and rice) and mix a little with the dry so
he has some variety he never leaves any. You should be aware that the blue whiting tapioca is being fazed out and replaced with duck, which I have changed to already. I was extra cautious and did this over a two week period introducing 10per cent a day with no tummy problems whatsoever and I think he prefers it. As this combination is also available in the wet form I will also change to this when the chicken runs out. Thank you Royal Canin for a brilliant product.

Finding the right food for me has not been easy as I have been very ill but my mistress has really hit the taste-buds as well as the digestive system with this one! I really can recommend this product to anyone who has a dog with health problems (so speaks my mistress!).
