TetraPond® AlgoFin®~HSE approved algaecide for blanketweed.~• directly suppresses blanketweed and other filamentous algae
• harmless to fish, plants, and wildlife
• approved by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE 7695) - independently proven to suppress blanketweed growth and to be safe to fish, plants, and other pond inhabitants
• also effective against green water
• add at 4 to 6 week intervals to prevent blanketweed problems
• simple to use
Blanketweed is a persistant problem for garden ponds, as it grows rapidly and entangles around equipment and plants. In severe cases, it may even affect the quality of the pond environment. AlgoFin is a highly effective, liquid control for blanketweedm designed to remove it and then prevent it from reestablishing itself. Use Biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
How it Works
AlgoFin works by preventing blanketweed from photosynthesising, thus removing its capacity to grow and multiply.
How to Use
Add 50ml of AlgoFin for every 1000 litres (220 gallons) of pond water. Shake the bottle well before use. A half dose can be added every 4 to 6 weeks, to keep blanketweed growth under control. We recommend switching off the ultraviolet light (if present) for the first few days of treatment. Always read the instructions carefully before use.

TetraPond® AlgoRem®~Fast, effective, and environmentally friendly treatment for green water (suspended algae).~• clumps suspended algae together so it can easily be removed by the filter system or with a net
• works within a few hours
• removes phosphates that encourage algae growth
• harmless to all pond life, including filter bacteria
• extremely simple to use
In very soft water areas (carbonate hardness below 2° dH) TetraPond AlgoFin should be used for green water control instead. Call 08700 55 40 30 for more information.
Green water is caused by the presence of millions of suspended algae cells, which multiply rapidly during the spring and summer. Not only is green water unsightly, but it can also adversely affect the water quality in the pond. AlgoRem quickly removes these algae cells from the water column, allowing them to be sieved out by the filter, or removed manually.
How it Works
AlgoRem works by clumping together the algae cells, so that they can be sieved out by the filter. In ponds without a filter, the clumps will float to the surface, or sink to the base of the pond, where they can be removed with a net or pond vacuum.
How to Use
Add 50ml of AlgoRem for every 1000 litres (220 gallons) of pond water. Remove as much clumped algae from the pond as possible to prevent it rotting down, and releasing more nutrients into the water. It is advisable, as with any algae-removing remedy, to aerate the water during treatment. Always read the instructions carefully before use.

TetraPond® WaterSafe~Makes tap water safe for fish and other pond inhabitants.~• neutralises chlorine• immediately and effectively binds toxic heavy metals, such as copper and cadmium• organic colloids protect the fish’s delicate mucus membrane• vitamin B1 reduces stress and protects the fish by promoting their natural resistance to disease• ideal for making pond water safe after longer periods of rainfall, after each partial water change, and during the initial filling of the pond
Mains water is the best source of water for topping up the pond and for performing water changes. Unlike rainwater, it is rich in minerals that are important for a healthy pond. However, it also contains harmful chlorine and heavy metals, which are directly harmful to fish, causing them stress and physical damage. WaterSafe / AquaSafe neutralises these harmful elements, and protects fish whenever a top-up or water change is required. WaterSafe also protects fishes´ skin and gills with a therapeutic coating, and helps to speed up wound healing. In conjunction with MediFin, it will help to cure sick and injured fish, and improve their overall condition.
How it Works
WaterSafe / AquaSafe contains special ingredients which neutralise chlorine and lock up heavy metals, so that they cannot harm fish. It also contains colloids, which coat the fish in a protective layer, helping to improve their resistance to infection.
How to Use
Add 50ml of WaterSafe / AquaSafe to every 1000 litres (220 gallons) of water, to remove heavy metals and chlorine. Either treat mains water prior to using it in the pond, or treat the whole pond with WaterSafe / AquaSafe prior to topping it up with mains water. For improving fish health and aiding wound recovery, add WaterSafe / AquaSafe at 25ml per 1000 litres (220 gallons) every 2-3 weeks.
