Oxygen is essential for the health of fish, plants, and filter bacteria. Water contains far less oxygen than air, and so oxygen levels can quickly become critical in aquariums. New TetraTec APS air pumps offer an easy way to increase oxygen levels, by pumping air directly into the aquarium, therefore ensuring that oxygen requirements are met. In addition, many aquarium ornaments are air-driven, and require an air pump to operate them. Undergravel filters also require air pumps to run them. TetraTec APS air pumps are suitable for all these applications. Designed in conjunction with leading sound engineers, TetraTec APS pumps are unrivalled for delivering high air flows with the minimum possible sound.

How it Works
TetraTec APS air pumps produce powerful and consistent flows of air, with the least possible noise thanks to specially designed sound-absorbing chambers. Each pump comes with a 3 year guarantee.

Product Sizes
The APS50 delivers 50 litres per hour of air, suitable for aquariums up to 60 litres.
The AP100 delivers 100 litres per hour of air, suitable for aquariums up to 100 litres.
The APS150 delivers 150 litres per hour of air, suitable for aquariums up to 150 litres.
The APS300 delivers 200 litres per hour of air, suitable for aquariums up to 300 litres.
The AP400 delivers 400 litres per hour of air, suitable for aquariums up to 600 litres.

How to Use
Place the air pump outside the aquarium, away from areas where it may get splashed. Attach a length of standard airline to the outlet, and run this into the aquarium. Attach the airline to a TetraTec diffuser, or to an air-powered ornament. It is important to install a TetraTec check-valve in the airline to prevent water being drawn into the pump. Use the flow-control valve that comes with each APS pump to control the amount of air produced.
