Product details

Arden Grange Dog Adult Lamb and Rice is perfect for pups with allergies, intolerances and sensitive stomachs.

What it's for

If your dog has an allergy it can make them seriously poorly. An intolerance means that your pet struggles to digest an ingredient in their food. If they can’t digest their food, they don’t absorb the nutrients they need.

Luckily, you can easily spot if your pup has an allergy or intolerance. If they’re sick, have diarrhoea or itchy skin after eating, it could be a sign that their food isn’t agreeing with them. If you notice these symptoms you should get advice from your vet as soon as possible.

You can make your pup more comfortable by giving them a food that cuts out the irritable ingredients. Arden Grange Dog Adult Lamb and Rice can replace their regular food for life. You should check the feeding instructions to make sure they’re getting the right amount for their height and weight.

Key benefits

  • made with lamb, which is easier to digest
  • doesn’t include chicken which is a common culprit for causing stomach upset
  • packed full of vitamins and nutrients that help to repair their skin
  • no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives to cut your pup’s contact with irritable ingredients.

How it works

Arden Grange Dog Adult Lamb and Rice is made with natural ingredients to help cut your pet’s contact with ingredients that are likely to irritate them. It uses lamb as a single source of protein. Lamb is much gentler on your dog’s stomach and a lot easier for them to digest than chicken. It’s a yummy alternative that gives your pup a boost of protein, which is essential to their health.

When your dog has an allergy, their immune system can become damaged as their body struggles to absorb nutrients. Using a highly digestible protein, like lamb, means that they can get the maximum amount of goodness from every mouthful.

This mix has added prebiotics to encourage good bacteria in the gut and promote healthy digestion. It’s packed full of vitamins and nutrients to help repair their skin, which can become sore and itchy due to intolerance.

Ingredients: Lamb meat meal (23%), fresh lamb (17.5%), rice (26%), maize, chicken oil, beet pulp, whole dried egg, chicken digest, linseed, fish meal, fish oil, yeast, prebiotic FOS, prebiotic MOS, yucca extract, Glucosamine, MSM, Chondroitin, cranberry, nucleotides.

Cost Effective Pet Food Nutrition

Arden Grange is unique in that when developing our products, we create the recipe first and then fix a price. We don't set a price first and then source the ingredients to fall within a specific cost bracket. This means we can guarantee that every single one of the nutrients used is super premium quality, offering the best nutrition for your pet. We manufacture to a fixed recipe, and will never reduce the quality of our ingredients because of market prices.

Feeding The Correct AmountIf using Arden Grange Partners in conjunction with Arden Grange Complete dry foods, follow guidelines on the dry food bag but reduce the amount you feed by 40grms for every 120gms of Partners fed.

It is important to remember however that these figures are guidelines only, and there are several factors to be taken into account when assessing your pet's nutritional requirements : -

  1. Activity level
  2. Temperament (stressed animals burn off more calories than relaxed ones)
  3. Metabolism (every animal is an individual with his or her own speed of metabolism; this means that 2 dogs of the same age, breed and weight could have different daily calorie requirements)

In order to provide the correct portions when feeding your dog or cat, it is also helpful to assess your pet's appetite, visual appearance and stools. Whilst poo watching does not sound particularly pleasant, it is one of the best indicators of health. Increased frequency of passing faeces, production of large quantities of stools of loose motions are often frequent signs that an animal is receiving more food than he or she requires.

It is important to obtain an accurate weight for your cat or dog, and also to weigh out the food. Guessing on both accounts gives a large margin of error.

Changing Food Brands

For a successful diet change, we recommend following the feeding pattern below. The daily feeding amount should be split into two equal amounts and the proportions of new food increased over the first week as illustrated.

TOP TIPS: For those dogs who do not make eating a priority, here are some additional points:
- Reduce the number of tit-bits given during the introductory period
- If your dog has been used to eating wet food, moisten with warm water.

DAY 1-2 75% Original Diet
25% New Food
DAY 3-4 50% Original Diet

DAY 5-6 25% Original Diet
75% New Food
DAY 7 100% New Food

Since being on Arden Grange adult lamb and rice, our underweight working cocker spaniel has put on weight. He's nearly at his ideal weight now. He is full of energy and his coat is fantastic.

  • Good for our greyhound
We've used Arden Grange for a while as it suits our greyhound's tummy but had always stuck to the chicken flavour. However he was starting to need some encouragement to come and eat, so we tried the lamb. It has gone down brilliantly with him, and we've been pleased to find that his tummy is happy too - easy clean up of poo and not too windy

  • Arden Grange Adult Lamb!
My two German Shepherds have a typical sensitive tums when it comes to food and changes of food. The eldest has always been a bit soft but since changing to this I no longer struggle to clean up after him. Once our younger dog was old enough to go onto adult food it seemed perfect sense to put him on this too. Both are looking great, the food suits them and they are happy doggys! Which makes me a happy owner. My only complaint would be that given we have big dogs can Arden Grange not go back to producing bigger bags instead of 12.5kg!!

  • Teddy
Arden Grange has really improved Teddys life. When we bought Teddy, a very active working cocker spaniel, he was not interested in food and lost weight. After trying another brand of food, we discovered Arden Grange. The lamb and rice he absolutely loves and he's putting weight on!!!! His coat is beautiful and he is less "windy" now. Also loves the lamb treats when out walking.
