Burns Dog Food - Real Food for Dogs

Burns produce holistic, high quality food for dogs, cats and rabbits to meet their nutritional requirements and provide a basis for good health.

Burns Real Pet Food is based around a home-made diet, and was developed by Veterinary Surgeon, John Burns as a result of his concerns over the quality and type of ingredients being used in many commercial pet foods. Burns pet food range is available to buy online from PET SUPERMARKET®

All Burns diets for dogs and cats are hypo-allergenic and free from artificial flavourings, colourings and preservatives.

Burns is a family run company that places great emphasis on quality and customer service, supports numerous charities and organisations both locally and further afield and works hard to minimise its environmental impact.

Burns Hypoallergenic Mixer

A natural hypo-allergenic mixer, wheat free & based on rice. No soya or un-named cereals. Can be used with Burns natural moist food, as part of a home cooked recipe, with raw food, or with Burns dried complete foods (if advised by our Nutritionists or your Vet). May be used as an alternative to the veterinary and prescription diets.

The alternative to Veterinary & Prescription Diets

Stockists are often asked "Is there an alternative to the veterinary-only food that has been prescribed for my dog?"

Thanks to the holistic effects of Burns products they can often be used instead of veterinary prescribed foods. Burns works by promoting normal, natural physiology of the whole body, unlike veterinary diets which are generally formulated to alter a specific organ state.

The table below shows, in broad terms, how Burns foods can be an effective replacement for Veterinary & Prescription Dog Food Diets

This list is not a blanket recommendation; we advise that pet owners should contact our nutritional advisors on Free phone 0800 083 66 96 before changing diet as our nutritional advice has to be tailored to suit the individual dog. We also recommend that pet owners should involve their vets in decisions about nutrition.

  • Dogs love it
Bought this as usual brand was out of stock. They love it and I just add meat and a bit of veg.

  • Multipurpose
My Westie goes bonkers for this so I can use it as a training treat as well as a mixer.

  • Dogs love it!
Not just for older dogs, our puppy loves it too! I'm not a great fan of all grain free, so this is this is a good addition to grain free wet food. Healthy and a nice crunchy texture.

  • Excellent product

  • Very good for our older Cavalier
I bought this a month ago as a substitute for Burns complete as I have been feeding mixture of meat and dry same flavour. This mixes well with all flavours of meat.
