Hill’s Prescription Diet Canine J/D Reduced Calorie has been specially made for dogs that have trouble walking, running or playing. It’s been proven to help them get more active within 21 days.

What it’s for

If your dog has arthritis, or bad joints, then it might be a bit harder for them to run and play. You’ll probably notice this when you take them for a walk, or throw their favourite toy. If your dog looks like they’re finding it hard to get up the stairs, or chase that stick, then Hill's Prescription Diet Canine J/D Reduced Calorie might be able to help. It’s perfect if your dog’s a bit older, too.

Because veterinary diets are formulated for the nutritional support of pets with specific clinical conditions, we recommend that you only use them under professional advice. For more information on feeding Hill’s Prescription Diet Canine J/D Reduced Calorie to your dog, please consult your veterinary surgeon.

Key benefits

  • contains special ingredients that help to reduce your dog’s joint pain
  • glucosamine makes cartilage stronger
  • helps keep joints healthy
  • clinically proven to improve your pet’s mobility within 21 days
  • specially designed to help your dog stay at a healthy weight.

How it works

Fish oil is great for joint health, because it has plenty of Omega-3. This is a fatty acid, and it can soothe your dog’s painful joints. The food also contains glucosamine. This is a special supplement that really strengthens your dog’s cartilage. Cartilage is important, as it’s the muscle and tissue that surrounds your dog’s bones. Strong and healthy cartilage means your dog can enjoy a good play in the park more often, because it will make their joints much stronger.

If your dog is a bit overweight, then that could also make their joints worse. This food has been carefully made to provide a healthy, balanced diet. That means it could help your dog stay at the weight that’s best for them. We’ve got plenty of other great products at Pet Supermarket for boosting your dog’s joint health too. The ADVANCE articular care stick is packed with glucosamine and nutrients, and makes a super tasty treat for your pet.

  • Very quick delivery
Thank you for the prompt service. I would also like to say Thank you to MedicAnimal for the gift box that they sent for my dog. They sent this gift as a good will gesture because there was a problem with my delivery a little while ago. My dog loved watching me open the box and he took out all the lovely gifts. Many Thanks

Our vet recommended that our rescue dog start this food following a patella op and to aid with an old injury. He our dog loves the food and scoffs it down. He will always have issues with an the old injury, but this food seems to keep him mobile, happy and healthy. We also feed other dog the same so to keep things easier, and costs down, and she & our other dog devours it. As long as we can afford to keep them on this food, we will. Ordering from here keeps the cost way down compared to buying elsewhere so we only buy from here. The dogs overall health is great and they love their breakfast and dinner, so it's a win all round. It also means we don't have to purchase other health supplements as this food has it all.

My 10 1/2 year old rottie has been on this for 9 years now topped up with seraquin is working well. His walks are short and sweet due to his arthritis but manageable since combining the 2 items. Highly recommend them both.

Our dear now 11 year old French mastiff has arthritis in her back legs and our vet recommended this food for her. Without this food I think Honeys mobility would be very restrictive and she would have to be on pain killers, and purchasing from pet supermarket has saved me on the cost and delivery is free, I definitely recommend.
