Hill's Prescription Diet Feline c/d Urinary Stress Reduced Calorie
Hill's Prescription Diet Feline C/D Urinary Stress Reduced Calorie is a great way to relieve your cat's painful Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD).
What it’s for
Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD) is a condition caused by things called struvite crystals forming in your cat’s urinary tract. They make it difficult for them to go to the toilet and cause a lot of pain and discomfort. If you see blood in your cat’s urine, or if they seem to be reluctant to use their litter box, they may have FLUTD and you should speak to your vet about the best way to help them.
Hill's Prescription Diet Feline C/D Urinary Stress Reduced Calorie is a replacement diet, which means that it should be used like your cat’s normal cat food, or as directed by your vet. After 14 days, you should be able to see your cat’s condition improving. This means that the struvite crystals are dissolving and passing through your cat's system.
- controls the pH of your cat’s urine, which makes it harder for struvite crystals to form
- reduces the amount of proteins in your cat’s urine
- increases your cat’s urine, making it harder for crystals to form
- packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which help to reduce your cat's discomfort
- low-calorie formula is good for overweight cats
- made with quality ingredients to taste great.
How it works
Hill's Prescription Diet Feline C/D Urinary Stress Reduced Calorie is designed to target the main causes of FLUTD. Firstly, it controls the pH of your cat’s urine, making it harder for crystals to form. It also reduces the amount of proteins in your cat’s urine, which reduces pressure on your cat's kidneys. Increasing the amount of your cat’s urine helps to dilute it, making it harder for the crystals to form and helping to flush out your cat's bladder and urinary tract more regularly.
Veterinary diets like this one have been specially made to support pets with specific medical conditions. Because of this, they might not be suitable for all pets, so we'd recommend getting professional advice before feeding them to your pet. If you think your cat could benefit from eating Hill's Prescription Diet Feline C/D Urinary Stress Reduced Calorie, why not have a chat with your vet?
