Product details

Ellie the Elephant is a soft, durable blue plush toy available in small and medium, designed to be loved by dogs of all sizes. With crinkle ears, hidden squeakers and tactile fur, Ellie is a great way to entertain curious dogs.

How it works

Dogs need mental stimulation to help prevent the furniture chewing and restlessness that can stem from boredom. Many dogs also benefit from having a comfort toy that they can carry with them, whether they're in the house or away from home.

This durable chew toy comes with minimal filling, meaning no shredded foam all over your kitchen floor. Ellie’s body is also protected by multi-layered fabric and a rubber mesh vest, and is machine washable for fuss-free care.

Key features

  • soft, durable and stuffing-free
  • protective rubber vest
  • machine washable
  • stimulating crinkle foil ears and two squeakers
  • great indoor fetch toy
  • the perfect sleep companion
  • made for affection

When to use it

If you’re tired of stolen socks and chewed furniture, or if your dog displays anxiety about sleeping alone, a plush toy can be a great comfort aid or chew outlet. Your dog may benefit from a faithful friend like Ellie if they regularly seem restless, whether awake or asleep. Plush toys are also safer than balls or heavier plastic items when playing fetch indoors on a rainy day.

A smaller Ellie (19 centimetres) is recommended for little dogs like pugs and terriers, while bigger dogs such as collies, spaniels and boxers may prefer the medium-sized 27 centimetre version.

If your dog is a more aggressive toy chewer, you might also want to consider rope toys or other stimulants. Always speak to your vet if you have any concerns about your pet’s chewing habits.
