Product details

Royal Canin Sterilised Appetite Control is made for neutered cats aged between one and seven who are never full from their regular food.

When to use it

Getting your cat neutered is highly recommended when they’re still little. Not only is it beneficial for them but for you too. Sterilised cats are much less likely to go wandering far away from home. They’re also less aggressive, meaning fewer nasty scratches!

One of the side effects of neutering your cat is that they can have a hard time controlling their hunger if they haven't been spayed. They might never seem to be full from their food or simply not enjoy the taste. (In other words, the amount of food they need gets reduced by neutering, but their appetite stays the same). This means that they might beg more or eat more in general which can make them gain weight.

A complete mix like Royal Canin Sterilised Appetite Control is a yummy way to help your cat feel full up and satisfied after their meal. At the same time, it gives them a boost of the vitamins and nutrients they need to stay happy and healthy.

Key benefits

  • made to keep your cat fuller for longer
  • can curb hunger cravings
  • balance of fats, fibres and proteins to keep your cat healthy and happy
  • easy to digest
  • uses natural antioxidants from green tea and grape extracts.

How it works

Royal Canin Feline Sterilise Appetite Control is made using a careful balance of fats and fibres like vegetable fibres, maize, fish oil and chicken protein. This special balance of natural ingredients leaves your cat feeling fuller for longer so that they eat less and beg for food less.

Vegetable proteins are super easy for you cat’s digestive system to break down. This means that they can absorb the maximum amount of goodness from every bite. Proteins and fibre are key to giving your cat the energy they need to run, jump and play all day long.

As well as curbing hunger pangs, this complete mix has lots of health benefits. Antioxidants from green tea and grape extract help your cat’s body to fight ‘free radicals’. Free radicals harm healthy cells and can make your kitten very poorly if left untreated.

  • Fussy Cat
I bought this in an attempt to help my cat shed a few ounces, she refuses to eat it on its own however if I mix some with her regular Royal can Exigent then she will eat, I think it has helped her by combining with other mix to feel a bit fuller, she's not scoffing her food down quite so much now and seems not to keep picking and crying for food . She's fussy eater and will only eat dry food, won't eat wet food, fresh chicken or fish but I suspect her age she's 6 and being female neutered is why she looks a bit big as her tummy hangs a bit
