Royal Canin Labrador Retriever Junior gives your Labrador Retriever puppy all the nutrients and vitamins they need to grow up happy and healthy.

What it's for

Your puppy's first 15 months are really important because they can determine whether or not a puppy grows into a happy, healthy adult dog. To give your pup the best start in life, it's therefore a good idea to feed them with a high-quality complete food that's designed to give them everything they need.

Key benefits

  • designed especially for the needs of Labrador puppies
  • helps your puppy develop intestinal flora – microbes which help them digest their food
  • substances chondroitin and glucosamine are added for healthy joints
  • low fat and fat-burning L-carnitine help your puppy keep their perfect weight
  • added antioxidants help your puppy fight infection and attack harmful free radicals.

How it works

Puppies have loads of energy, so it makes sense that they'll need some extra support for their joints as they grow. Your puppy's joints are cushioned and supported by cartilage, which is made up of substances including glucosamine and chondroitin. This food contains added glucosamine and chondroitin to help your dog's joints grow and keep them healthy and strong.

One of the things that helps your puppy digest their food is the community of tiny microbes, or microflora, that live in their tummy. The ingredients in this food help these microflora grow and flourish so they can protect your pet from tummy issues and infections.

Your puppy might be growing fast, but they still need to keep an eye on their figure, so this food is low in fat to keep them at an ideal weight. Added L-carnitine helps burn fat too, to make it even easier for your pooch to achieve their perfect size and shape.

Because puppies can catch infections easily, it's important for them to get plenty of antioxidants to help their immune system do its job. Antioxidants in the food also fight free radicals, harmful molecules which can damage body cells and even cause cancer.

  • really suits my puppy
My pup has been on this food for a few months now (she is 9 months old) she wasn't a good eater to start with so switched to this, she has done really well on it and eats like a labrador now! Also her poo is nice and firm and her skin and coat are in good condition. Economical to feed as you don't use as much as cheaper brands, I would recommend this food to other lab owners

  • My husband and I took in a 6 month old lab puppy in need of a new home and she was just a bag of bones despite claims she ate 3kgs of food per week. We got her on this as soon as we could and the difference from the wild, unfocused puppy that turned our world upside down is rather astounding! She had some suspicious scars and very thin fur but she's now looking very healthy with a super shiny coat, white bright teeth and clear eyes. Another plus note is that she loves it! Brilliant product!

  • I concur with other reviews and found them useful when initially purchasing. We got Dexter, a chocolate Lab retriever at 7 weeks, used the Vet recommended R Canin puppy and iams puppy until 9 weeks old then I bulk bought this. He loves it, coat etc all beautiful and also use small quantities as treats (within his total daily amount). Moved him onto 2 feeds per day at about 4 months and perfectly happy. He gets a Dentastix after each meal as well. Get a slow feeding bowl as well.
