Product details
Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Urinary S/O LP 34 has everything your cat needs for a healthy diet, and is specially designed to treat kidney stones and bladder problems.
What it’s for
As your cat eats, some minerals in their food can start to stick together inside their body. Over time, these minerals form crystals, which can then grow into something called a kidney stone. These stones are very uncomfortable for your cat, and can make it harder for them to go to the loo.
Cats are very private when they go to the toilet (who can blame them?), so it might be hard to spot if your cat has a bladder problem or kidney stones. The best thing to do is take them to your vet, especially if you see any blood in their wee. Luckily, kidney stones can be dissolved by special diets, like Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Urinary S/O LP 34. Your vet might suggest you try this food for up to 12 weeks, by which time your feline friend is likely to be back to their happy, mischievous old selves!
Key benefits
- helps dissolve troublesome kidney stones
- special ingredients can stop more stones forming
- low magnesium, which is a cause of crystal formation
- makes it easier for your cat to go to the toilet.
How it works
This food is carefully blended to help break down kidney stones in your cat’s system. Some minerals in your cat’s food, especially magnesium, can slowly turn into crystals over time. This can then lead to kidney stones or bladder problems. The amount of magnesium in this food is very low, which can help stop these crystals forming.
The special mix of ingredients also makes it easier for your cat to go to the toilet. It dilutes your cat’s wee, which can prevent crystals and kidney stones taking root in the first place. If your cat keeps getting kidney stones, then this can help to keep them healthy, active, and comfortable!
Because veterinary diets are formulated for the nutritional support of pets with specific clinical conditions, we recommend that you only use them under professional advice. Royal Canin VHN Feline Urinary S/OOur vet recommended this product as our female cat had cystitis and had issues weeing. Her behaviour was irratic and she was obviously distressed. The first bowl of the Royal Canin was literally demolished in minutes and from then on, she has loved it and clears her bowl every night. Her problems have disappeared in just 4-6 weeks and she doesn’t even need to use her litter tray anymore as she is happy to go outside & she was using the litter tray every few minutes previously, poor thing! & Great product, happy cat! Although not the cheapest food you could ever but your cat, we think her happiness and wellbeing is worth every penny.

Excellent service, excellent product. This product really suits my cat, she loves it. Her vet says if he didn't know better, she would pass for an eight-year-old when in fact she is almost sixteen. Ordering is very easy and there is always quick delivery.

Excellent productI cannot express my thanks enough. My little cat was so stressed because I had taken in my granddaughters Akita. My tiny house became a war-zone. Once I started to feed her the urinary diet, she took control and everything was great. Her infection cleared up very quickly, and her fur shined once again. Thank you
