Product details

Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Urinary S/O LP 34 has everything your cat needs for a healthy diet, and is specially designed to treat kidney stones and bladder problems.

What it’s for

As your cat eats, some minerals in their food can start to stick together inside their body. Over time, these minerals form crystals, which can then grow into something called a kidney stone. These stones are very uncomfortable for your cat, and can make it harder for them to go to the loo.

Cats are very private when they go to the toilet (who can blame them?), so it might be hard to spot if your cat has a bladder problem or kidney stones. The best thing to do is take them to your vet, especially if you see any blood in their wee. Luckily, kidney stones can be dissolved by special diets, like Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Urinary S/O LP 34. Your vet might suggest you try this food for up to 12 weeks, by which time your feline friend is likely to be back to their happy, mischievous old selves!

Key benefits

  • helps dissolve troublesome kidney stones
  • special ingredients can stop more stones forming
  • low magnesium, which is a cause of crystal formation
  • makes it easier for your cat to go to the toilet.

How it works

This food is carefully blended to help break down kidney stones in your cat’s system. Some minerals in your cat’s food, especially magnesium, can slowly turn into crystals over time. This can then lead to kidney stones or bladder problems. The amount of magnesium in this food is very low, which can help stop these crystals forming.

The special mix of ingredients also makes it easier for your cat to go to the toilet. It dilutes your cat’s wee, which can prevent crystals and kidney stones taking root in the first place. If your cat keeps getting kidney stones, then this can help to keep them healthy, active, and comfortable!

Because veterinary diets are formulated for the nutritional support of pets with specific clinical conditions, we recommend that you only use them under professional advice. For more information on feeding Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Urinary S/O LP 34 to your cat, please consult your veterinary surgeon.

  • Healthy cat
This product was recommended by our vet when some years ago our cat was suffering from frequent urinary problems.Along with the Royal Canin urinary wet food pouches this has been the solution and she is now a spritely 17 years old. Easy to order with MedicAnimal, prompt delivery, good discounts.

  • Something is different
My cat has used the original packaging product for years and never had a problem, but since I started feeding him the new packaging food, he has been having diareah and threw up his food. I’m not sure if it’s purely down to the food or my cat has been sick. I’ve taken him to the vet and since changing his diet for a few days, his condition got better. Not sure if anyone else is having similar experiences? I am considering to change to another brand of urinary diet for my cat.
