Product details

Keep your chinchilla, degu or gerbil's skin and coat in tip-top condition with this bacteria- and dust-free Supreme Bathing Sand.
What it’s for
Small animals like chinchillas, degus and gerbils can’t be bathed in water, so they benefit from a sand bath to keep clean. Water can lower their body temperature and keep them damp, which makes it difficult to dry out their dense fur and encourages the growth of harmful fungus on the skin. This Supreme Bathing Sand is a great alternative that not only cleans little coats without water but is also fun for your small pets.

Key benefits

  • 100% natural bathing sand for small animals like chinchillas, gerbils and degus
  • scrubs skin beneath even dense fur
  • removes excess oils and nourishes coat
  • bacteria- and dust-free

How it works
This Supreme Bathing Sand is specially designed to keep little animals clean. The soft, fine sand grains penetrate their dense fur and rub up against the skin to remove excess oils and debris from the surface. It’s made bacteria- and dust-free from 100% natural products, so it won’t upset sensitive skin.

Simply place a couple of inches of this sand in a high-sided box that’s big enough for your little pet to roll around in and leave it in there for a few hours. If it’s left for more than a day, your pet might clean themselves too much and dry out their skin, or try to use the box as a litter tray.

A sand bath two or three times a week is recommended, especially in warmer weather. Remove any debris from the sand box and top it up for reuse next time.
