The Alert Lamb & Brown Rice was developed specifically for assistance working dogs. This diet is low in fat and has a controlled level of protein for dogs performing low energy work. The added blueberry extract and green tea extract gives the diet an increased level of antioxidants. The added salmon oil also makes it ideal for dogs performing tasks that require them to be calm, alert and attentive.

The best food for my dogsMy dogs have been fed on Burns foods for many years. My older dog, now almost 16 yrs old, is still fit and well, her coat is thick and glossy, she has never had any skin or digestive issues and has always been a healthy weight. I started feeding her the original Burns foods at the age of 9 months. I wouldn't use anything else, It contains everything that your dog needs and nothing else. Being relatively low in protein it avoids any hyperactive behaviours too. Highly recommended.

Dogs like it and have shiny coatsNot tried Burns before and the jury is out at the moment. Dogs like it, coats look good, smells of fish oils, but a little concerned about the rice to meat ratio. Poos are firm but look as if they've been eating sand.

Superb dog food at good priceI have been using this food for my two dogs for years now and find it excellent quality; good food and ethically sourced. It does not contain many of the undesirable 'bits' that lots of dog foods do.

GoodUnfortunately had to buy small 2kg bag as out of stock of the 6kg size. It is a good feed.
