Grain free cat food can be a suitable option for cats experiencing allergies, itchiness or skin and stomach problems, as they are usually easier to digest and hypoallergenic. Both grain free dry cat food and grain free wet cat food replace cereal grains with other complex carbohydrates such as potatoes, sweet potato or tapioca, which are just as nutritious. If you’d like to switch your cat’s diet to a grain free one, add small quantities of the grain free food to their usual food at first, gradually increasing it until they’ve switched entirely to the new food.
