Ipakitine Dietetic Powder for Dog & Cat

Our Jack Russell is 12 years old and has kidney disease. After a week on dialysis the vet prescribed this but also prepared us to take her home to say goodbye. That was 4 months ago and she is still going strong as she has this powder in her food as per the instructions. Initially we mixed it in as she can be fussy but now it is just put on top of her normal food and she eats it no problem. The bulk pot is very good value for money.

my cat was prescribed this by her vet. my reading on here what is was i then read the reviews and have some advice for others like me. i too, mixed it in her just a little food but i didn't know if she'd actually had the food with the powder on. my solution for others who experience the same.. buy some cat oralade, mix the powder into a little of that and they will drink it all up. they've had their medicine and u know they have. oralade is roast chicken flavour and cats will drink it.

This product is meant to help a cat with chronic renal failure. But it is in powder form and for a cat that has eaten only dried food it is difficult to administer. Why is it not available in tablet or liquid form?
