So near yet so far

This is nice don't get me wrong and for smaller cats it's fine. My tabby is a little overweight at just under 5kg, and she struggles to get her rear end through as she hasn't the room to bend her legs. Shes getting there and on a diet but she also doesn't always get read. This I believe is because her chip has moved, as she has the same issue with the Surefeeder where she needs to get right inside before it recognises her. One of the biggest disappointments though is the fact I can't restrict only one cat's access. My black cat has to go to the vet more often due to a heart condition, and I wanted to be able to lock the flap for her only when I needed to keep her in, but that seems impossible in the app, and the only way I can find is to clear the memory and set her as indoors only each time. This is so wrong in my book, as surely that could easily be set by the app. Such a small thing is such a let down and ruins what would have been a great product.

Sureflap Microchip Cat Flap Connect with Hub

This is a beautiful cat door with a lovely app giving interesting information. BUT it does have a design fault, and it's a BIG one. I have 2 cats, with one it works perfectly. The other cat is a 5lb long-haired one, the sensor picks her coming in beautifully, but doesn't always pick her up going out, or it takes too long. The sensors are clearly not at the right angle and/or the span is not great enough. We have discussed this with Sureflap, and even tried a replacement door, but with no luck. She then gets bored if it doesn't work straightaway and we have to keep her there until it does pick up her chip. I am not sure she is ever going to master this on her own, so my dreams of using this and tracking them when we are away is a pipe dream!! BE WARNED!!
