What it's for
After the age of five, your dog could benefit from some extra nutritional support. Years of walking, running and playing can affect your pup’s joints, so they might benefit from some help to keep moving comfortably. Speak to your vet if you're worried that your dog's slowing down before their time.
- added calcium helps to stop nasty tartar and keep their mouth healthy
- nutrients support joints and muscles to keep them enjoying walkies and play
- rice, wheat and vegetable fibres help to improve digestion
- antioxidants fight free radicals and the effects of ageing
- lots of protein helps your dog gain lean muscle that will keep them moving.
How it works
Royal Canin Maxi Adult 5+ is packed full of goodness to keep your pup healthy and strong throughout later life. Packed full of fibre, it’s super easy on their digestive tract. The simpler your dog’s food is to digest, the more nutrients they can absorb.
This mix uses quality protein that is essential for your dog to make lean muscle. Along with added vitamins, this helps to keep your pet moving and enjoying playtime and walkies. Antioxidants fight ‘free radicals’ that attack healthy cells in your dog’s body – this keeps their immune system healthy.
As well as supporting them on the inside, this mix keeps their mouth and teeth strong and healthy. Added calcium helps to combat nasty tartar build-up to maintain good dental health.
Royal Canin Adult 5+ is made to replace your dog’s regular food to keep joints and muscles strong and their immune system working as it should. Check the feeding guidelines to make sure your pet is getting just the right amount of food for their size and weight.

Great balance in a dog foodWe have been giving our dog Royal Canin food for a while now and I can say without doubt this a great food with balanced nutrition good sized biscuits which are easy to eat. The real test is whether our dog will eat his food every time and he really loves it.
I`ve been feeding this food to our Border Collie since he was a puppy and it is the only dry food he`ll have! We`ve tried other known brands, but he`ll literally take it and spit it out elsewhere when you`re not looking.
Whenever we get asked what we feed him, we always get told that`s very good quality food, whether it`s a vet or a fellow dog owner.
The food smells very meaty, which might be why he can`t resist it (not to mention other dogs that sometimes visit us). It is very well balanced, maki
