Canine Choice Senior Light Medium & Large is a complete grain-free dry food for older dogs (from 7 years of age) of medium and large-sized breeds (over 11 kg). It has a high proportion of meat (45%). Older dogs burn less energy than their younger friends. Their diet should therefore contain fewer calories to avoid unnecessary weight gain. They will also benefit from a diet rich in vitamins that boost their immune system and a higher amount of fibre, which facilitates digestion. This is exactly what’s in our formula, together with 45% lamb (the highest percentage of meat our vets recommend for older dogs). Kibble size can fluctuate between 10-15% on any batch production.

Composition: Fresh lamb (35%), sweet potato (17.5%), pea protein, dehydrated lamb (7%), peas (7%), apple pulp (7%), dehydrated carrot (0.45% equivalent to 4% carrots), hydrolyzed lamb liver (3%), dehydrated cranberry (0.08% equivalent to 0.75% cranberries), chicken fat, brewer’s yeast, fish oil, minerals, chicory (source of fos), mannan-oligosaccharides (mos), camomile, parsley, rosehips, sea algae, rosemary, cloves, glucosamine (350 mg/kg), cartilage (a source of chondroitin 250 mg/kg), yucca schidigera.

Nutritional Additives (Per kg): Vitamin A: 20,000 IU, Vitamin D3: 1,700 IU, Vitamin E: 550mg/kg, Vitamin C: 400mg/kg, L-Carnitine: 300mg/kg, Zinc (Zinc Oxide): 108mg/kg, Iron (Ferrous Sulphate, Monohydrate): 68mg/kg, Copper (Cupric Sulphate, Pentahydrate): 9mg/kg, Manganese (Manganous Sulphate, Monohydrate): 7mg/kg, Iodine (Potassium Iodide): 3.2mg/kg, Selenium (Sodium Selenite): 0,11mg/kg.
Zootechnical Additives: Bacillus Subtilis C-3102 (Dsm 15544): 1 X 1,000,000,000 Cfu/kg (Probiotic).

If this is the first time you’re feeding your dog Canine Choice, it’s easy to switch from their current food over the course of a few days. Start of by replacing 25% of their existing food with this one, then increase the amount of the new food by 25% every other day, until they’ve fully made the switch.
And one last thing - we know a feeding table isn’t the most exciting thing to study, but please do take care to read it, as your puppy is likely to need a different amount of Canine Choice per day than their previous diet (as it’s so full of goodness and energy per gram). As with any diet change, it’s good to keep an eye your pet's weight. Always make sure your furry friend has access to plenty of water.

My dogs love this dry food.I changed to Canine Choice about a year ago and my two dogs who are both elderly love this food . I like the fact that is it made with quality ingredients and is produced in the UK. I only buy dog food if it is British made.

Much Loved FoodMy dog woofs down this food, never turns his nose up, so I am very happy too, knowing all the ingredients are healthy and right for my 11 year old Cockapoo.

My dogs won’t eat anything elseMy girls Mollie age 8 a cavapoo and Maisie age 7 an Australian labradoodle love Canine Choice lamb and Cranberry dry food. They absolutely Woolf it down. I have tried all the well known premium dog foods but this is the only one they will eat without having to cover in dog ‘ gravy’ They never smell or pass smelly wind and never have runny poos. I wouldn’t buy any other food for my girls. Canine Choice is by far the best dog food I have ever tried.

Great foodOur two dogs, cwavalier and lurcher now 11 & 12, have been having this for around 4 years. They are both healthy and enjoy the food. Good value too.
