Royal Canin Light Weight Care Dry Adult Cat Food
Royal Canin Feline Light 40 is a healthy and nutritious dinner that helps your cat stay at a healthy weight.
What it’s for
Is your furry friend feeling heavier than usual? Can you feel your cat’s ribs if you gently stroke the sides of their body? If you can’t, this could be a sign your cat is getting a little chubby and needs to lose weight. Other signs include being a little lazier than normal (we know cats like to sleep, but they should get up sometimes!) or if they make a noise when jumping off the sofa or bed.
If your cat has put one a bit of weight, they could be at risk from many of the same health problems as humans. As they grow heavier, they could develop diabetes, or end up with nasty heart or joint problems. Neutered cats also tend to gain weight easily, as the neutering process affects their metabolism. This often means that kitty will still have the same appetite, but their body actually needs less food to function.

How it works
Royal Canin Feline Light 40 is proven to reduce daily calorie intake by up to 17%, making it suitable if your cat needs to get back to a healthier weight. The recipe mixes proteins, healthy oils, fats and fibres into one tasty meal. All of the ingredients provide excellent nutritional value and help to limit your pet’s fat intake at the same time.
Hydrolysed proteins are proteins which are already partially broken down in the food. This makes them very easy for your cat to digest and absorb. The vegetable fibres work with the proteins to help keep your cat feeling satisfied and full. Extra fibre in the recipe helps them digest their dinner more easily. L-carnitine is also included, which is a supplement that helps your cat to convert fatty acids into energy and can help to lower their cholesterol.

All goodBoth the cat food and the ordering/delivery service are very good. My overweight Ragdoll really enjoys this food and he is slowly losing weight. Pet Supermarket has never let me down on ordering or delivery. One happy cat owner!
Definite hit with our felinesWe bought the diet food as one of our cats is definitely on the chubby side, and only eats dry food. He absolutely loves it and now is reluctant to eat the food we bought previously. Even our other cat who doesn't usually eat dry food has started eating it too, so it has worked out rather expensive but we know it is doing them good!
