Product details

Zylkene is a natural product that helps your dog or cat feel less stressed and return to their normal happy selves.

How it works:

Zylkene contains a natural product derived from a protein found in milk and works to calm your pet when they are feeling stressed or worried. The ingredients soothe their brain receptors, helping them to feel less stressed.

The Zyklene powder is packed into capsules which can be fed whole. If your pet refuses to swallow pills you can still give them this treatment. Simply open up the capsule and mix the powder in with your pet's food – they won’t even notice it’s there! It is designed to be fed to your pet once a day with a meal or treat.

Since Zylkene is a natural product that has little to no known side effects, you can feed it to your pet for as long as they need it. It can be given for short-term stress, possibly related to changes such as a house move or unfamiliar visitors. Or if your pet is adjusting to a more permanent change of circumstances (like being left alone during the day) they can be given Zylkene for longer periods until they settle down.

When to use it:

Animals react to stress in different ways, so it's important to learn how to spot the signs of it in your pet. Is your cat withdrawn or does she run away and hide? Is your dog more grumpy or being naughty? In scary or unfamiliar situations, pets can show that they are feeling stressed through bad or unusual behaviour.

If the cause of stress is temporary (such as a new visitor in your home or loud building work taking place) your pet will often return to normal once the problem’s removed. However, permanent changes such as a change in their routine or a new pet in the house might need you to take further action to reassure your pet.

  • Highly recommend
These work really well for my yorkies - also worked well for my German Shepherds. I really like that they work naturally and quickly, I find I don't need to be giving them for days and days before they work. Personally I open the capsules and put inside their favorite treat as my dogs are fussy eaters. As with all natural products they work better for some however all 4 of my dogs responded well and after a bad experience usage cured my German Shepherds fear of fireworks and thunder storms so used them to prevented my yorkies being fearful and they have worked for us.

  • Wouldn’t have them
My 14 1/2 year old female dog wouldn’t have them , which was a waste of money. I try on food in water has well .

  • My Persian will not have them.
A vet suggested that these capsules without prescription may help my Persian male cat to be more relaxed and less stressed. I have tried to use them but my cat will not touch wet food with it mixed in , dry food not when its sprinkled on them. My cat knows when his food has been tampered with. What a waste of money there expensive when your pet doesn't like.

  • deffo work for my cat
we have a very nervous and suspicious rescue cat, but these sprinkled in with her food - i only do a little at a time spread over a few days prior to her needing to be calm do seem to work or shall we say help its still tricky to catch her or put her in her carrier but she is slightly more relaxed.

  • Expensive but worth it!
These were recommended to me by a cattery to help with anxiety in travelling & I have bought them regularly since. I have 2 quite nervy Russian Blues (ex rescues) & I use them a lot when I am expecting visitors, preparing for a holiday etc. They are still nervous but slightly sleepy & not panicking so much..
